An AerieREAL role model and brand ambassador for both the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) as well as L’Oreal’s Prince’s Trust, Iskra has become “the millennial poster girl for positivity” (Harper’s Bazaar UK, 2018). Her candid discussions regarding her own journey of self-love and challenging current media representation for men and women can be found in publications such as Time, Huffington Post, and SELF Magazine; as well as earning her a spot on BBC World’s 100 Most Influential Women. With her recent foray into production, Iskra has garnered massive attention for her Mirror Challenge. The Facebook Watch series has inspired nearly 4 million viewers with topics ranging from infertility to finding inner strength in the face of bullying. Her continued advocacy for diversity in media along with her focus on mental and physical wellness have made Iskra a go-to for those seeking upliftment, authenticity, and infectious self-empowerment.
Melissa Rocchi is the dreaming force inspiring and leading Aloria Health. For the past decade Melissa helped develop the clinical programming and worked as an administrator and therapist at a nationally recognized and respected facility specializing in eating disorders and other co-occurring disorders. Melissa is dedicated to helping people feel and experience hope again and was the impetus in establishing Aloria Health. Melissa’s experience has inspired her to establish groundbreaking care and attract a national team of renowned clinicians that provide expert clinical treatment, as well as exceptional customer service. The client-based model at Aloria Health is garnered from listening and responding to our clients and acting with purpose and feeling. As CEO, Melissa is dedicated to empowering her team and clients to create change and learn that recovery is not illusive. Transformation is possible and that we all have the potential to heal.
Dena is an aspiring author who strongly values service and empathy. She is originally from Southern California, but feels equally at home in Chicago, where most of her eating disorder treatment took place. Dena shares her personal journey online in hopes of raising awareness and lessening isolation for individuals living with chronic physical and mental illnesses. Her work has been featured in Women's Health magazine, Self magazine, HelloGiggles, and HerCampus. The things that make her most happy are painting, writing, and dogs.
Grant Theisen is from Downers Grove, a town just outside of Chicago, Illinois. He is currently a freshman economics student at DePauw University where he plays NCAA Division 3 lacrosse. Grant struggled with an eating disorder throughout highschool and hopes to help others by sharing his story.
